Marcylle believes in hard work, maturity, and inspiring others to achieve their goals. She has owned and managed 5 different business, contracted with a billion-dollar medical system, and served on a number of non-profit boards while raising 5 children with her husband of over 40 years.
Early Career & Foundation in Care
Marcylle began her career as a clinical nurse in Texas, building a deep understanding of patient care and frontline operations. Her strong clinical foundation shaped her future leadership approach—balancing operational excellence with a people‑centered mindset.
Building Multi‑State Healthcare Operations
Marcylle acquired the home health company where she worked early in her career and rapidly scaled it. Within just two years, she expanded the organization significantly and sold it to a hospital system. This experience—growing a company and successfully exiting it—serves as a cornerstone story for business owner audiences seeking to scale, sell, or transition their own enterprises.
After the sale, Marcylle founded and led a management company that expanded the hospital system’s home health operations statewide into a multimillion‑dollar, multi‑state enterprise with over 700 employees and multiple service lines across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
Launching & Scaling a High‑Growth Startup
In 2004, Marcylle launched a new home health and hospice startup, scaling it from zero to 650 patients in six months, eventually growing into 30+ locations with a daily census of more than 3,000 patients. At the same time, she managed a real estate investment firm with approximately $20 million in assets, demonstrating her multifaceted business acumen.
National & International Leadership Influence
Marcylle’s operational leadership extends far beyond her own organizations. She shaped home health and hospice standards by serving in numerous key national and state level professional roles, including the National Association for Home Care & Hospice and received major distinctions including HHFMA Hall of Fame Inductee and Mentor of the Year (2023).
Her policy advocacy includes long‑standing political engagement on behalf of seniors, including active collaboration with national legislators to support home care and hospice services.
Internationally, she partnered with Belize’s Ministry of Health to develop national palliative care standards while also leading conferences and training programs across multiple countries. Through her nonprofit TwentySix:Twelve, she enabled employees to participate in more than 70 mission trips, strengthening workforce engagement and impact.
Her dedication and thoughtful approach to each of her roles has fostered loyalty among those who work and live alongside her. She desires to see her immense experience and knowledge passed on to the next generation of leaders.
